I moved back to India last year after spending almost six years abroad. I expected the professional adjustment to be difficult. Strangely, rebuilding a social life has been harder.

I'm 32, currently in Hyderabad, working in healthcare consulting. I'm Telugu, 5'6”, non-vegetarian, rarely drink and don't smoke.

Living alone abroad changed me quite a bit. I became independent, comfortable with solitude, and probably less willing to tolerate relationships that exist only because two people are afraid of being alone.

I enjoy swimming, museums, cooking elaborate meals for no reason, and planning trips months in advance. I'm not particularly active on social media.

I'm open to a serious relationship with someone between 30 and 36. Divorced is not automatically a dealbreaker. Different community is not automatically a dealbreaker either.

I care more about how you handle stress, money, family boundaries and disagreement than what your Instagram profile looks like.
