Dailytalkz rules

To keep DailyTalkz a good place to talk:

1. Be respectful — no harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks.
2. No spam or self-promotion outside relevant communities.
3. No illegal content.
4. Follow each community's individual rules, shown on its sidebar.
5. Keep discussions civil, even in disagreement.

How Talkz (karma) works

Talkz is a number on your profile that reflects your contribution to the community and how much value others have found in it.

1. You earn 1 Talkz for every post you create. This rewards genuine participation, separate from how the post performs.
2. You earn Talkz when others upvote you — +1 Talkz for every upvote your post or comment receives.
3. You lose Talkz when others downvote you — u22121 Talkz for every downvote your post or comment receives.
4. Commenting itself doesn't give Talkz — only the votes a comment receives from other people count.
5. Talkz can go negative if something you've posted receives significantly more downvotes than upvotes.
6. There's no upper limit — the more you contribute and the more the community upvotes you, the higher your Talkz climbs.
7. 5+ Talkz unlocks unlimited posting. New accounts (under 5 Talkz) can still make their very first post right away, but are limited to one post every 30 minutes after that, to help keep spam accounts from flooding communities. Once you've earned 5 Talkz, that limit is lifted.
