My girlfriend and I had a favourite corner in the college garden where we spent almost every lunch break. During our final year, she became distant and started saying she needed space because of placements.

One afternoon, a friend sent me a photo. She was sitting in our usual garden spot with another guy, and they looked far too comfortable. I went there immediately and created a scene without listening to either of them. Later, I found out he was her cousin visiting the campus for an event.

She forgave me initially, but something changed after that. She said my first instinct was public humiliation instead of trust. We stayed together for two more months, but the relationship never fully recovered from a misunderstanding that lasted less than ten minutes.
