I ran into one of my old school teachers at a pharmacy last week. I recognised her immediately but didn't expect her to remember me because she must have taught thousands of students.
She looked at me for a few seconds, said my name and then asked if I still draw in the margins of notebooks. I was genuinely speechless. I had completely forgotten that I used to do that. For her, it was apparently one small detail attached to a student from two decades ago.
Have you ever met a teacher years later who remembered something about you that even you had forgotten?
