Planned a short Goa trip after seeing hundreds of gorgeous reels online for weeks, everyone made the beaches look fully untouched and perfect from every single angle imaginable. The sunset itself was stunning when we finally got there, no complaints at all, worth the trip on its own. But the beach right near my hotel was scattered with plastic bottles, food wrappers, and even some broken glass near the water's edge that I noticed while walking barefoot. The photos online had clearly cropped all of that mess out entirely, probably shot from one specific spot early morning. Still enjoyed the trip overall, but it's a solid reminder that social media usually shows one perfect angle and conveniently leaves out everything else happening around it.
