Accidentally saw a private team chat on a coworker’s screen.

People had nicknames.

“The Professor.”

“Microwave Mike.”

“CEO of Breaks.”

“Printer Destroyer.”

Then I saw my name.

Just my actual name.

I asked a trusted coworker why everyone had a nickname except me.

He got uncomfortable.

Finally admitted:
