I'm 27 and currently staying with my parents for a few months while my new apartment gets ready.
Last weekend some relatives came to visit. I returned from work and found two suitcases in my room.
My bedsheets had been changed. My clothes were moved into another cupboard. Even my laptop charger was missing.
I asked Mom what happened.
She said, “Mama-mami 4 din rukenge, tum drawing room me so jana.”
No discussion. No warning. My room had been acquired by the government. 😂
I said I had work calls early in the morning and needed my desk. Dad told me not to make guests feel unwelcome.
Now here's the funny part: we have another room.
But that room has my mother's “important stuff” in it.
Important stuff = old suitcases, wedding gifts from 2009, three broken chairs and approximately 700 plastic bags.
Apparently moving one son is easier than moving the plastic bag economy.
I know it's my parents' house and I'm not paying rent right now, so technically I don't have much ground to stand on.
But still… ek baar puch toh sakte the? 😭
