2020, peak confidence. I bought Yes Bank at 16 on the flawless logic that it "can't go lower." That was the whole thesis. Not fundamentals, not analysis, just a gut feeling that 16 was surely the floor.

It went lower. Of course it did. And then, to really drive the point home, it went sideways for years afterward. Just drifting, doing nothing, quietly mocking the entire premise I'd bought it on.

I still hold a small position in it. Not because I believe in some big turnaround, not out of any real strategy. Purely stubbornness at this point. Selling would mean fully admitting the whole thing was a mistake, and apparently I'm not there yet.

So it sits in my portfolio less as an investment and more as a monument. A little permanent reminder of a specific kind of confidence I used to have, the "it can't go lower" kind, that this market surgically removed from me.
