I swear, if I ever have kids, I’m never going to force them to wake up early for no reason.

Growing up, my parents never let me sleep past 9 AM. Didn’t matter if it was a weekend, holidays, or I slept late the night before — I had to wake up. Back then I didn’t question it much, but now I realize how sleep deprived I’ve felt for years.

Maybe they thought it was discipline, maybe routine… but honestly, it just felt exhausting.

So yeah, if my kids are ever born — sleep as much as you want. Take that extra hour. Stay in bed on lazy mornings. I’m not waking you up unless it’s actually important.

Because sometimes, rest matters more than rules. 🥲
