My mother negotiated at a mall store with a fixed price tag

I took my mother shopping at a large mall in Nagpur and she liked a handbag. The salesperson clearly explained that the price was fixed.

My mother still spent ten minutes trying to negotiate and finally said, "Manager ko bulao, kuch toh discount hota hai." Somehow she got an additional coupon. I have stopped questioning her abilities.
