A new student joined our college in the second semester. During attendance, her name sounded familiar, but I didn't think much about it.

Later, she walked up to me and asked if I remembered a girl who used to beat me at badminton in our old neighbourhood. Suddenly, I recognised her. We had been childhood friends before her family moved away.

We reconnected instantly. Old memories turned into new conversations, and friendship slowly became something else. It felt strange falling for someone who already knew the most childish version of me.
