My building's WiFi router has a quirk: it resets itself every single time it rains. Every time. And this is Mumbai, during monsoon, so "every time it rains" is functionally "several times a day, for months."
The result is that my internet has developed a very specific, very seasonal personality disorder. It's stable and reliable through the dry months, then the first drop falls and it becomes completely unpredictable, blinking out in sync with the weather.
I called the ISP, hoping for a fix. Their entire response was, "sir, ye common issue hai." That's it. No solution, no explanation, no timeline. Just calm acknowledgment that yes, this happens, and no, nothing will be done about it.
So I've adapted the only way I can. I've stopped treating it as a malfunction and started treating it as a feature. When my internet drops now, I don't even check the router. I just look out the window, confirm it's raining, and accept it. My WiFi is now a fully functional weather forecasting system. Slightly less functional as WiFi.
