Ahead of the Monsoon Session, the Congress Parliamentary Strategy Group, chaired by Sonia Gandhi, finalized the party's key issues to be raised inside Parliament.
Among the major topics on the Opposition's agenda are Operation Sindoor, the situation in Manipur, India's foreign policy, and the NEET paper leak controversy, which has quickly become one of the session's most closely watched political battles.
Following a meeting with Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge described the discussion as "fruitful" and said the Opposition was committed to ensuring a productive Rajya Sabha session.
However, the political atmosphere has become significantly more charged after clashes between protesters and police on the opening day of the session. The demonstrations, use of tear gas, and arrests outside Parliament have added fresh momentum to the Opposition's demand for a broader debate on the NEET controversy.
With multiple national issues already on the parliamentary agenda, the paper leak row is expected to remain one of the central points of confrontation between the government and the Opposition throughout the Monsoon Session.
