Rohit Chandel — known for Pandya Store and, more recently, Sairaab — was arrested from his Dahisar home on July 10 after a 16-year-old girl filed a complaint. According to the FIR at Pant Nagar police station, the alleged harassment wasn't a single incident — repeated calls from multiple numbers stretching from December 2025 to July 7, before an alleged physical confrontation near her home. He's been booked under the POCSO Act along with stalking and assault provisions under the new Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and remanded to police custody. He and the complainant reportedly knew each other beforehand, which is often the harder kind of case to prosecute cleanly. No public statement from Chandel so far.
