She almost didn't do this film at all. At the trailer launch, she admitted the physical and emotional toll of her cancer treatment had genuinely shaken her confidence — she'd nearly walked away from the project entirely. On Instagram, she wrote plainly: "I had just finished chemotherapy, had 2 bone immunity injections over the next two days to fly and I was on antibiotics due to a tummy bug. It was tiring but it was so full of love and cheer... it made me happy."
Producer Samiksha Oswal got emotional describing it: "She had her first surgery, a very big surgery, before we began the film... yesterday she flew with me. And I can't thank her enough." Nafisa's been public about her cancer battle since 2018; this is a recurrence she's now fighting at Stage 4. Max, Min & Meowzaki releases July 24.
