I still go back home most weekends to help with the fields, which some of my city colleagues find genuinely surprising given the degree. To me there's nothing to reconcile. The engineer and the farmer's son are the same person, and I'm proud of both halves.
During the week, I follow football and fuss over a small balcony garden that's a poor substitute for actual farmland but keeps my hands in the soil. Then come the weekends and those long drives back home.
Looking for someone 24-29 who's open to eventually settling somewhere closer to family land. The city works for now, but my roots are firmly elsewhere, and I'd love to find someone who sees that as something warm rather than something to talk me out of.
