I grew up with a completely different food culture and cadence of life than most of the people I now work alongside every day. Rather than picking one world over the other, I've come to genuinely like straddling both. Neither side of me feels like a costume.
In my own time I hike whenever I can, listen to regional music that reminds me of home, and cook dishes most of my colleagues have never even heard of, let alone tasted.
