I've realized I text almost exactly the way I speak.
Lots of "please," "thank you," and "sorry."
A female friend once joked that I sound like I'm emailing my manager instead of chatting.
Now I can't unsee it. 😂
I'm wondering whether being overly polite makes conversations feel distant.
