Both of them have had smartphones for years now, perfectly capable of video calls, voice notes, instant messages, anything modern communication offers. And yet, every single month, an actual physical letter still goes back and forth between them.
Asked him once why he doesn't just call instead, would be so much easier. He said the phone "feels too fast for real conversation," like something gets lost when it's instant.
