Today, I’m sitting in a hospital while my dad is admitted, and I started calculating how much I actually pay to Jio.
At home, I have Jio Wi-Fi, which costs ₹706 per month. On top of that, I recharge my own number with a ₹209 plan (1GB/day for 22 days), plus occasional data add-ons that cost around ₹50 every couple of months when I’m away from home.
For my parents, I recharge ₹189 each for both my mom and dad.
When I added everything up, it comes to around ₹17,453 per year.
The surprising part is that my Wi-Fi plan gives me 1000GB per month, and nearly 400GB goes unused every month.
It feels inefficient.
I really think there should be a proper family plan where the same 1000GB is shared across devices and includes mobile connections for my mom, dad, and me. That would be much more practical and could significantly reduce costs.
