The controversy surrounding the alleged theft from Ayodhya's temple donation boxes may have slipped from the front pages, but the investigation is still underway.

Responding to the incident, RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale described the alleged theft as "highly condemnable", while urging people not to allow the issue to become a source of unnecessary social or political division.

His message emphasized that those responsible should face the law, but also appealed for patience while the investigation continues rather than drawing broader conclusions before the facts are established.

Meanwhile, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to probe the case remains active. Investigators have already arrested eight people, and the inquiry into the alleged theft and the wider network involved is continuing.

Although public attention has shifted toward the NEET controversy and the Monsoon Session of Parliament, the Ayodhya case remains an important law-and-order issue. Further findings from the SIT are expected to determine the next phase of the investigation and whether additional arrests or charges follow.
