The actual exchange: power workers surrounded his convoy chanting "Anil Vij murdabad" and a slogan about resisting oppression. Vij got out, walked with them, and responded, "Ek baar dobara lagao. Mazaa aa raha hai" — then added his own line for them to chant back: "Aur Anil Vij tumhara hai." He accepted their memorandum about two hours later.

This isn't new behavior from him. He's previously confronted a CID officer he suspected of spying on him, ordered a Fatehabad SP out of a meeting over a Dalit officer's handling of a liquor case (drawing a notice from the National Commission for Scheduled Castes), and got into a filmed standoff with a Kaithal SP who refused his on-the-spot order to suspend a police official. The power worker protest is just the latest entry in a long list.
