I’ve been splitting rent with this guy for almost a year and we’ve never really had problems. Last month my girlfriend stayed over for two nights because her apartment had some plumbing issue.
A week later, my roommate sent me my share of the bills and there was an extra $40 added.
I asked what it was.
He said, “Guest accommodation fee.”
I genuinely thought he was joking. He wasn’t. Apparently two extra showers, phone charging and “shared space usage” came to $20 per night.
This man turned our apartment into Airbnb without telling me 😭
